Ghana delivers ambulances to remote communities

Residents of five communities in Ghana’s Upper West Region received five new ambulances after years with limited access to medical care.

Nadogobo Suglo and Sadia Razak both lost family members because they could not reach a hospital quickly. Suglo’s son died after an accident, and Razak’s aunt died during childbirth, both due to a lack of transportation and poor road conditions. The new ambulances aim to address these challenges in these remote areas, often called “last mile” communities.
