Countries correct 450-year-old map error

One hundred and sixty-four countries voted to correct a mapmaking error dating back to 1569, which falsely depicted Greenland and Africa as being similar in size.

For centuries, maps have shown Greenland appearing larger than Africa, despite Africa being 14 times bigger.
