South Gyeongsang Province streamlines pay for school staff

The South Gyeongsang Province Education Office in South Korea will expand a unified payroll system to cover all regions, centralising pay for education administrative staff.

Previously, individual schools handled these payments. The Education Office will now directly manage the process to improve accuracy and reduce administrative work for schools, allowing staff to focus on education.

The office prepared for full implementation this year by updating procedures and training staff, and it established a “Salary Integration Support Center” in July to ensure a smooth transition.
