Bishkek authorities clear 700 meters of Eastern Big Chui Canal

Bishkek city authorities finished cleaning 700 meters of the Eastern Big Chui Canal in Kyrgyzstan.

Workers removed garbage and reeds from the riverbed between Kurmanjan Datka Street and Mavlyanova Street. The city administration says it performs these cleanings during the spring and autumn to keep irrigation water flowing steadily. Officials stated that they have already cleaned 322 kilometers of canals and collectors in Bishkek this year. The city plans to continue this work until the end of the year.
