Bishkek authorities demolish 77 illegal structures to reclaim land

The Bishkek mayor's office dismantled 44 temporary and 33 permanent structures in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, between October 19 and October 23.

The city officials cleared the buildings either by force or through voluntary cooperation from owners who removed their own objects after receiving explanations from the city. These actions reclaimed 7,664 square meters of municipal land. During this period, officials also issued 52 protocols for land legislation violations, such as expanding plots or occupying public land.

The city collected 1,992,000 soms in total fines from these violations.
