Uzbekistan pays households over 642 billion UZS for solar energy

The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan paid 70.7 thousand people for electricity they generated using solar panels and fed into the national power grid.

The Bukhara region received the highest share of these payments at UZS 116.7 billion. The Khorezm region followed with UZS 115.3 billion, while the Republic of Karakalpakstan received UZS 77.3 billion.

Other areas also earned significant amounts, including Kashkadarya with UZS 72.6 billion, Navoi with UZS 49.8 billion, Fergana with UZS 45.6 billion, and Samarkand with UZS 36.1 billion.
