Kyrgyzstan prepares students with 81 new and renovated schools

The Ministry of Construction in Kyrgyzstan finished building and renovating 81 schools before the 2026 to 2027 academic year.

Forty of these schools were newly constructed, while the remaining 41 underwent major renovations. Jalal-Abad region received the most schools with 26 projects completed, followed by Naryn with 13 and Issyk-Kul with 11. Bishkek, the capital city, saw nine schools completed as did the Osh region. The Batken, Chui, and Talas regions each received four new or renovated schools.

The Ministry of Construction focused on completing the work on time and ensuring the facilities met standards for students. President Sadyr Japarov directed the construction of an additional 36 schools in Bishkek, Osh, and Manas. These schools are currently being prepared to open to students.
