The student society Reprobatum in Vorselaar, Belgium, recently completed its final student initiation ritual after 38 years. Twelve students participated in the tradition, which the group believes fosters long-lasting friendships. Members of Reprobatum said the event allowed individuals to stand out, stating “Here you are not the thirtieth student in the row.”
The society intends for the ritual to build connections among new members. The group did not describe any future plans.
