Thirty-seven associations in Genappe, Belgium gathered last Sunday at the initiative of Carrefour culturel 38, the city government, and GAL Pays des 4 Bras.
The groups convened to showcase their work and connect with one another, each hosting an activity representing their mission. City officials and GAL Pays des 4 Bras provided support, with the latter offering financial assistance as part of a larger cultural project aimed at developing culture in local villages and sustaining associations.
The event also recognised the volunteers who contribute to Genappe’s quality of life through their involvement in sports, culture, social work, and other areas. Organisers see the associations as vital spaces for connection and solidarity within the community. The day concluded with a concert by Renouveau Musical de Genappe.
