The Jordanian Armed Forces transported 20 sick children and 20 accompanying family members from the Gaza Strip to Jordan on Monday.
They moved the group as part of the Jordanian Medical Corridor initiative, which began in March 2025, following orders from the Jordanian King. Jordanian hospitals will provide treatment and care. The Jordanian Armed Forces coordinated the evacuation with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, following established health standards.
Jordan intends the initiative to support Palestinians facing difficult conditions in Gaza and to provide healthcare to those who need it most. The country views this ongoing effort as a continuation of its commitment to helping Palestinians and easing their suffering under the leadership of King Abdullah II.
